Rapha x Focus Cyclocross Team

There were rubblings about a Rapha sponsored cross team at the Nahbs, which for a dork like me is really exciting and now it's real. The cross jersey is a must!

Not with Speedvagens but the Focus bikes look pretty good though.

Oh cool!

I have always loved the look of Bmc bikes and the new team machine is So Cool. This is a really cool one, cool!

New team New Beginnings.

The new cool guy team on the Seattle racing sceen, composed of the founding principles of the Recycled Cycles team and refugees from the failed Counterbalance team, about 20 guys strong and a couple girls. Baron bikes is our bike sponsor, look for my new cross bike coming soon! We will be trying to support as many local products as possible or at least as few Chinese made products as poss. Should be fun, look out for our debut at StarCrossed.

I also Like these one.

I have been quitley comtemplating the acquision of these items, the S-works shoes are really cool in real life nad have been making a real push in the pro peleton but I really hate Specialized and I'm dealing with that. Also the new Giro Prolight helmet is breathtakingly light but looks SO cheap, every time I see one I think it's like a $25 helmet.

Oh, what to do?

Thing I like this Week.

I'm really in to Canyon bikes lately, I think the big budget direct to consumers is the future of bike sales, and from the look of the Competitive Cyclist blog I would not be suprised if they are going to be one of the first US distributors.

Also how good is this pile of money on the ground?

Funny how we can never live in the now, always the future or the past....I'm leaving to go to a road race but thinking about cross....oh well cross bike overload!

This Place LOOKS Amazing.

Working in shops and wanting to open a shop myself, I have done a lot of thinking about the subject, cyclingtips blog has a pretty good read about the issuse and the future of brick and mortar shops. Although he seems a little naive about the whole thing.

My Old Friend.

I built this frame up yet again and have been riding incessantly since, training, running errands, commuting I can't get off the thing. The crack was repaired by Sizemore bikes and then dressed in alloy Chorus 10spd, I love the lines of a classic steel bike with modern running gear. It is the most beat of all my bikes but something feels right and broken in like an old pair of jeans.

Oh and I just ordered a custom Belgian color Chris king to go with the Belgian blue.

Euro Trash Tuesday.

I know if you're like me you feel a vacuum of intrest in pro cycling after the Tour, cyclocross bikes need to be built and a general feeling of malaise insues.........so here is one of my all time fav pics thanks to Pez cycling.
