Product Review

Much to my dismay it is warmer in Alaska than it is in Seattle, if fact we have the worst weather in the US right now! Ugh so I have taken it upon myself to fight off the malaise of winter with some retail therapy, so my B-day present to myself a Rapha stowaway, I could not pull the trigger on the pink one, I am a euro d-bag but not that much. This jam is so light, it's like paper but the water beads like nothing I've ever seen and because of the thinness it's super breathable, and with a long sleeve jersey under I would say it's good down into the 40's, so perfect for most of year but the coldist winter storm. Conclusion; if you spend this much on a coat it will guilt you into riding and at the same time make it bearable while being stylish, no homo.

Oh and you look so much better than those clear raincape creeps and you look So metal next to the neon commuter crowd.

This weeks bike Porn

I am on a BMC kick and this 2010 proMachine by the richers at Above Category Cycling is so fine, oh I'm on a low profile Campy wheel kick as well and Hyperons are so fresh and under the radar not as in your face as Lightweights or Edge. These guys do good work, just peep that stem, 140mm So PRO! Cervelo Project California in the flesh and raced where? Oh the Tour of California! This is a shot of Brett Lancaster's stage winning bike. For those who don't know Project Cali is a frame hand built in California by the actual engineers at Cervelo and cost $10,000 for frame and fork! The frame weight should be 700g with only 40g of paint as seen, most production weights are claimed with an unpainted frame, then 100-300g of paint is added. Pretty nuts.

Slip into the Pink.

If David Arroyo wins the Giro I will kill myself but I must say his Dogma is one of the freshist bikes ever.

EuroTrash Tuesday.

Nice bike Simoni, sorry about the up the hill bit not going very well. Nice sneaks, though.

My first roadbike, WTF?

If any of you are as old as me you may remember that in the 80's Sony did a line of products for kids called "My first Sony" and this new resurgence of roadbiking and people jumping in headfirst with crazy richer bikes and no idea idea how to ride them, I guess the point of this rant is that like my first Sony walkman these bikes work like a grownups but look like they are for a child. This fine Cannondale as seen on the weightweenies forum is this creeps first roadbike, such a fail on the fit yikes, look at those bars and the carbon saddle pushed all the way forward.....ugh. Oh look baby got his first roadbike.

Pro look by a 13 year Old

Pro tour bikes all look like they have been designed by a 13year old for a Mountain Dew add. Cartoon graphics and electro shifting bullshit everywhere.

Too Hard. Too Pro.

This is too much, Pro as fuck, hard as fuck. Sorry about the language but geometry hardened in Belgian Kermersse and built by the master Richard Sachs with a modern drivetrain. Might be as close as you can get to a Sachs these days as depending on who you ask the wait list is closed or ten years.

I Need.

I need this....I saw an old fat richer wearing one of these last week and wow even in xxxl it looked so good. I can only imagine how good my size M would look....aahh. I didn't like the pink when I first saw it but in person, perfection.

Speaking of Sacha.

Oh baby! 2010 Speedvagens!
I need to put a deposit down for next years batch. This is getting ridiculous. I'm over carbon wheels but ...........yeah this is a great looking bike, I sure it rides even better than it looks.

Something I need from Something I NEED.

I need coffee like Lindsey Lohan needs coke. The caffeine does nothing for me anymore, just brings me back to a "normal" state. For how played out Vanilla is, Sacha keeps it pretty fresh.
